Katherine Scherz
Fashion Designer
Senior Collection
During the fall semester of her senior year of college, Katherine researched and wrote a capstone paper on a selected topic, which served as the inspiration for her senior collection. For her capstone she chose to write about how society's ideal standards of beauty have affected how women are perceived in the workplace and how they can limit their success. During the spring semester she produced her collection, which consisted of five outfits and was titled, The Silent Code of Conduct.
This is the backdrop image that will be shown when the collection is walking on the runway.

This visual represents how women are pressured to look according to society's ideal standards of beauty, vs how destructive they can be to how women value themselves.
